Plan B: Fun with T-Shirts
There was not the first selection of the type knit I was looking for at the local fabric store, so today's prototypes will be made of some old t-shirts from the stash. A very large one with a frog will be made into a basic dress and a black concert selection into a basic top. Pictures to follow.
The beauty of a t-shirt knit is that finishing raw edges is optional; pieces can be cut and sewn willy-nilly. And strips can be cut and used for knitting or crocheting. A versatile textile indeed. The bottom of the concert t will be added to the bottom of the frog t for extra length and the sleeves will be used to stabilized the new necklines and to add length back to the top. Raw edges will roll and stay put. Should be a fun day.
